Los Angeles (PRWEB) October 14, 2008 -- Kanani Fong, The Literary Fashionista, will build on the success from last year's coverage for The Easy-Writer blogs, Blog Critics.org and the Los Angeles Times Pressmen. The event held at Smash Box Studios in Culver City is invitation only, and all those in the press have been vetted by IMG, the largest producer of fashion shows in the world. Celebrities in attendance include Giovanni Ribisi, Kristina Apgar, Jody Watley and Gina Torres.
The season's highlights include the return of Kevan Hall, an LA-based designer who is a favorite with Hollywood stylists and celebrities for red carpet events. Newcomer Lana Fuchs, of Lana Fuchs Couture brings her line of hand beaded and intricately pieced gowns based on Imperial Russia to the runway and Suh Tahn will showcase their artfully made and globally inspired knits.
This is the final pairing of IMG, the largest producer of fashion shows, and SmashBox Studios. Next year, Davis Factor, heir to the Max Factor legend and owner of SmashBox will produce a large-scale fashion event to complement the existing LA Fashion Week. With a focus on west coast designers as well as Hollywood stylists and celebrities, the intent will be to create a fashion event on par with that of New York.
Fong, a writer of over twenty years who has covered literature, travel, book reviews and author interviews brings her insight of culture and the arts to the world of fashion. The Literary Fashionista has been picked up by the BlogHer Network, and also participates in the LinkSys programs, and serves as the BlogCritics in-house fashionista.
